Ruby Camille is a talented singer and songwriter who is living out her dream. The road to success isn’t always easy, but the life lessons she has learned on her journey have been priceless. Her new single “Fun Love” is out now and is the perfect song for the summer, available on all platforms.
TAV - What inspires your creativity?
RC - Everyday situations that I go through and what I see others go through. So many things are happening in the world, and I always want to make sure my lyrics are telling a story and can always benefit someone one way or another.
TAV - Where do you go to center yourself?
RC - My go to place is the gym because I tend to always go alone. Many ideas come when I'm working out, and if I'm going through something, I can always take it out on the weights instead of someone else. I walk out feeling accomplished and feeling like I can do anything.
TAV - Who are your heroes?
RC - My heroes are my grandparents. My maternal grandmother is the only one living as of today, but each one of them has a powerful story and have worked through so many things in life where it would be so easy to complain, but they were hard workers and taught that to their kids which is why my parents, uncles, and aunts are all successful individuals in their own ways.
TAV – What do you know for sure about yourself?
RC - I know for sure that I am blessed. I go through a daily struggle of what do I want and what do I truly need every day like most people. When I think about my entire life and who I am today, not every day is perfect, but I have always had what I needed because God blessed me with a great family. Even if we didn't always have it, my family and even extended family made sure we had something and have supported me through everything I've been through.
TAV – What are some hard lessons you’ve learned on your journey?
RC - A hard head makes a soft behind. It's always been easy to say I know best, or the decisions I make for my life are the best options, but the more I've lived, the more I have learned that God has plans for my life and listen to him also listen to wisdom. My parents or older families may not know it all, but they've been through more life, and it is in my best interest to listen.
TAV – What’s the one thing you say to yourself each morning that motivates you?
RC - Every day in the car, when I'm headed to the gym to workout, the volleyball gym for work, or the studio to sing, I tell myself to "put my best foot forward" because even though there are times I may not feel like it or am extremely tired, I realize that there will be a time where I won't be able to do all these things so while I can, I'll do my best.
TAV – Who is the most influential person in your life?
RC - My dad is one of my biggest influencers because he continues to do what he loves (music) even with the music industry changing. He knows that there is always someone out there that he can help and lead to a positive lifestyle. He doesn't write for fan's attention. He writes for himself because music is his passion. He has never been a people pleaser and won't do anything because it’s popular, and I respect that because, in today's society, it's so hard to make a name for yourself unless you're doing what the people want.
TAV – Aside from music, what are you most passionate about?
RC - I am passionate about my family and that our relationship continues to grow. Nothing is ever perfect, but our connection is strong, and that is something I will forever cherish because not everyone can say the same. There will always be ups and downs, but I still know who I can turn to no matter what.
TAV - How do you recharge?
RC – The two ways I recharge are prayer and a good nap. I realize that everything I do comes from God, so I talk with him daily. I realize me saying nap seems funny, but it's something I take seriously now that I am so busy. Something that I didn't want to do as a kid is necessary for me to give my best and have a good attitude about things.
TAV – What does success look like for you?
RC - Success is my happiness. Of course, I have places I want to live, things I want to do, a nice car, and stability, but I can have everything in the world and still not be happy. If I'm doing what I love and doing it the way God had planned for me, then that's a success. When I start to float away from what I know and what is truly me, I have become unsuccessful.

This week our special guest is Country Artist Kathryn Shipley, who always believed in herself and her gift, and she never gave up on her dream. Today she’s living her purpose as a country artist and songwriter. Her story is one you want to hear. Tune into The Artistic Voice this week and check out this incredible, talented lady.
TAV - What inspires your creativity?
KS - Many things pull from my family or close friends right now; many of my “life moments” are for my granddaughter Kadis. Just one look at her and my soul is elevated.
TAV - Where do you go to center yourself?
KS - My solitude is just at home. I keep a notepad in my room, so I am quick to grab it if something comes to me in the middle of the night or when I wake from a dream. I wrote a cool song from a dream one time. Sometimes I have had to pull over because some cool lyrics came to me as I was driving, and I will send a text to myself. And really, my “centering” is volunteering at my church and other area churches serving when they need help for leading Worship.
TAV - Who are your heroes?
KS - My nephew TJ passed away at the age of 12 many years ago. He would be almost in his mid 30’s now. He really brought a lot of passion to my heart to make music too. I really don’t have someone I champion around. My sons really keep me going. They are doing so well in life. I am so darn proud of the men they have become. My two sons Nate and Malik, are my heroes as well! My Favorite hero is JESUS!
TAV - What do you know for sure about yourself?
KS - That I will never quit on anyone, own my mistakes and apologize when need be. This past year added with the pandemic, really made me refocus on what my purpose is. I know I am very passionate about volunteering and helping others. I am actually going in the morning to volunteer to stain a fence for a maternity home for young moms that is about to open. It is my favorite charity—the Sparrows Nest.
TAV - What are some hard lessons you’ve learned on your journey?
KS - That even when someone will tell you they are going to bat for you and want you to succeed, they don’t. I found that out the hard way. And what did I do? I prayed for them to let something like that affect me and be negative in my life; then, I am no better than the person who initiated the bad energy. I tell people now about music? research, research, and ask others in the industry that you are close friends with. We should all be in this together, thriving and wishing one another well. In a perfect world, I would love for that to happen.
TAV - What’s the one thing you say to yourself each morning that motivates you?
KS - A lot of times, I wake up and say “Thank you, God”
TAV - Who is the most influential person in your life?
KS - One person over this last year that has inspired me is Rissi Palmer..such a sincere person, just wanting to help others and not wanting anything in return, and God has continued to bestow Blessings to her because of it. What a great person to call a friend. I can truly shoot her a message in her ever-growing hectic schedule, and she will always give me love back. And I didn’t get to say this in my interview, but I love me some Miko Marks what an amazing human! Wow, this sister is just nails!
TAV - Aside from music, what are you most passionate about?
KS - Favorite thing in life, VOLUNTEERING, whether at my home church, community church, or charity work. I want to help others, and when Kadis (my granddaughter is old enough, she will be doing the same), I am trying to get more into my creative side with my music video work and maybe even do some short stories. I do all the Treatment/Storylines for my music videos, and I have an incredible Videography team (Peak Media) that knocks it out of the park each time. And it’s been a great learning experience my goal in 2022 is to do a documentary on “Addictions” – GOALS! I am also working on doing a baby clothing line. More GOALS.
Another cool thing I was a part of that I hope I can be more involved in Music-wise is “Ladies who Rock for a Cause” they are doing some awesome things to help different causes, and we did a cool virtual concert several weeks back. -- https://www.ladieswhorock4acause.org/
TAV - How do you recharge?
KS - I recharge by listening to music, my favorite band journey.. music truly does soothe the soul. I actually always plug into country and just unwind, but I got to listen to my Christian music. I have also started to get into listening to Jazz more. Many years ago, I was all in with some Jazz!
TAV - What is the meaning of life?
KS - As time passes, I find the meaning of life is in just everyday experiences and trying to embrace the good things that happen, and just spread that joy to others.. and when some of those don’t go well, at times, I will incorporate that into a song, or even when I am recording pull some of that energy into my soul when I am singing. When I am in the booth, each time I record, I say a prayer and just ask God to let it flow in me and out of me. But the meaning for me just to live. Just give to God and share amazing things with other people who may need to hear something. We are all broken people in our own way through something, and we really need just to lift one another. The cool thing is I was adopted, and I found my birth mother when I was 31. I am 55 now. Both of my mothers are now in heaven. My Birth mother passed away a few years ago at the age of 89. When she was younger, she sang in a Gospel group called “Stars of Faith” that blew me away to find that out after she passed away. She was a very humble woman and never talked about herself. She gave me life, and my other mother gave me life on another level. Forever grateful for the time I had with them both. Two incredible women. That is the true meaning of life for me.

Favorite color?
I have two, red and yellow even though I rarely wear that color,
it was my birth mother’s favorite color

It used to be bowling or attempting to go to the movies. Not so much any of that is going on right now. Raising a 15-month-old grandbaby is my favorite thing in life now. My youngest son lives in Arizona. I am trying to make hiking a “thing,” but that may end up being a fun memory HaHa!
Favorite thing to do on your day off?
Who has a day off? LOL
Who inspires you?
Other people are going through something that they think they wouldn’t have to be going through because of some crazy circumstances and overcoming it and dealing with it accordingly. There are some real champions out here having some gut checks to deal with right now. It drives me to know what I have going on in my life right now.
I know God has me.
Favorite vacation spot?
Pigeon Forge Tennessee. Yep! That is where the Josie Music Awards are held each year, and I just love it. I am a country, small-town gal. But Nashville and Arizona right there as well.
Favorite food? –
Give me a ribeye and a savannah chopped salad, and
I am feeling pretty groovy.
Favorite beverage?
Arnold Palmer with sweet tea

greatest treasure in the world.”
Tanji Emmeni is a talented artist and smart businesswoman. TAV - What are some of the accomplishments you're most proud of?
TE - Every time I release a song, whether I'm performing, one of the groups, or a song I've written and people receive it, I'm happy. I think that's what it's all about.
TAV - What is your driving force in life?
TE - Am I doing what I'm supposed to do? Operating in purpose, I like to be at peace.
TAV - Where is your favorite place to unwind?
TE - I like to be outside. I like picking flowers and riding my bike. I really like going to the beach and riding when it's not real crowded. At, home I like to sit in the tub with some Epsom salt and lavender or eucalyptus.
TAV - Complete this sentence: I am at my best when I am…
TE - Creating music, fragrance, beads, music videos, new recipes, or art.
TAV - What do you know for sure about yourself?
TE - I'm an artist. I love seeing a thing come from concept to fruition or manifestation.
TAV - What are some hard lessons you've learned on your journey?
TE - Guard your stuff. Be careful who you let into your plan/vision. People pretend to be genuine and may even be genuine but are toxic because they are wounded, so they sabotage your plan. But we let them in. Even when we see the signs, we've sometimes become so emotionally attached to them that we want what's best for them more than they do to the point that we allow them to sabotage our stuff. You have to regard the vision or plan as the most important. After you sacrifice for that person, they will walk away from you. You realize you should have let them walk away before they sabotage your plan. If you are building something, you can't use faulty material, or it will fall. Especially at the foundation. If it's strong, at least you can build the walls again.
TAV - What's the one thing you say to yourself each morning that motivates you?
TE - I don't really say anything to myself. I just get up and try to do whatever the day's tasks are.
TAV - Who is the most influential person in your life?
TE - My family, all of them but mostly my Dad and Mom.
TAV - Other than music, what are you most passionate about?
TE - Natural remedies.
TAV - What's next for Tanji Emmeni?
TE - Next, the movie. I've had this story since 2007 or 2008. It's time for it to materialize.

Adobe award-winning artist Wayne Flint is making his mark on the world with his digital art masterpieces. He's the owner of Digital Life Portraits, whose art has been commissioned by the NFL, NBA, and the WNBA and has also graced the covers of books, clothing, galleries, and retail outlets worldwide. Wayne Flint has had a fantastic journey and still so much to do. We had a chance to know more about this talented artist and even learned a few fun facts about him.
TAV - What is the driving force behind your art?
WF - To share my skills and talents with the world and be the best portrait artist on the planet.
TAV - How do you relax?
WF - Spending quality time with my wife Michele (Physical Therapist) and my son Sanjasce Flint. He's headed to Duke, Yale, or Harvard this fall. So proud of him.
TAV - Complete this sentence: The world will be a better place if…
WF - People stopped judging one another and started helping each other. It will also be a better place if all nuclear weapons were safely destroyed and we treat each other as humans and not members of a race.
TAV - What do you know for sure about yourself?
WF - I love God, living, and family. I'm a decent human being with morals and ethics that's willing to help people in need. I'm not perfect; however, I strive daily to become a better artist.

WF - I've been blessed with another opportunity to do something great, don't waste it!
TAV - Who is the most influential person in your life?

T.J. - Trying to do it all alone is hard as hell, but at the same time, it’s hard to depend on people to do things the way you want when you want, and that expectations will let you down more than people will.
TAV - What’s the one thing you say to yourself each morning that motivates you?
T.J. - I thank God for waking me and my family, tell Him I will give him 100%, and because of His grace, I deserve to win. Today I.S. my day!
TAV - Who is the most influential person in your life?
T.J. - My mother.
TAV - Aside from music, what are you most passionate about?
T.J. - Storytelling, and cooking.
TAV - How do you recharge?
T.J. - Fasting, and sleep
TAV - What is the meaning of life?
T.J. - God gave us all a gift and dreams. It is our responsibility to hone that gift, listen to the dream and give it back to Him and the world. Ultimately, we should follow that dream, drain ourselves of that gift, leave it all on the table and die empty.
